You don’t really need to have Outlook Exchange Online.
In this example I have used SharePoint Calendar app. Each MS Teams team will have a SharePoint site created by default. The Shared Calendar can be created inside the team’s SharePoint site.
I am not really sure about the Hybrid environment you are trying to mention here
