Disclaimer: I am not a lawyer or associated to any law agencies. This is just a guide to fill I-539 Change of Status(COS) application online using the myUSCIS account.

Since I succeeded in the COS application, preparing similar kind of documents might increase your chance of getting approved. In my case submitting these set of documents helped in successfully getting the approval for the Change of Status application.

Preparing the Documents

First of all you need to get all the needed documents. Below are the listed Documents which I submitted along with my online application

  1. F-1 I-20
  2. Financial Support Letter
  3. Graduate Admission Letter
  4. SEVIS Fee Receipt
  5. Passport (All Pages)
  6. Previous F2 I20's
  7. Marriage Certificate
  8. Spouse’s Passport (All pages)
  9. Spouse’s I-20's
  10. Spouse’s EAD copies
  11. Spouse’s EAD copies(if in OPT)
  12. Spouses’s I-94

I believe all the listed proofs are self explanatory and it can be attained easily if you have applied for the Universities by yourself.
